USB Data Recovery

A USB (Universal Serial Bus) drive is a flash memory data storage device integrated with a USB connector. These drives are compact, lightweight, removable and rewritable which makes them an ideal medium of data storage. A USB drive can be connected and disconnected without rebooting a computer. These drives do not need any external power supply and can be used with a lot of other devices such as printers, scanners, digital cameras, laptops, PDAs and personal media players.

A lot of computer users prefer to store data on USB drives as they are compact, faster, hold more data, are more reliable due to their lack of moving parts, and have a durable design. But as with any other storage device USB drives are also prone to problems.
There can be various problems such as power surge, improper usage, physical damage or a virus. If you encounter any of these situations, you will get an error message when you plug in your USB drive in a computer. The messages can be:

Status: Unreadable, Unknown Device
USB Device Not Recognized Window
Unknown Device
USB Unknown Device
USB Device Problem
USB Device Not Recognized in Windows
USB Device Not Recognized Windows XP

It you receive any of these error messages you will not be able to access your data on USB drive and the drive will not work. In that case you will need Windows Data recovery software to recover your lost data. It will be examined if a raw image of the data can be recreated and logical analysis will determine the severity of data loss. A logical recovery process will determine the damage to the file system and what can be done to correct it. An existing file system may be damaged and data may need to be extracted from the raw image. The data recovered will be analyzed any the errors will be removed using Windows Data recovery software. The data integrity will be checked after the data recovery process has been completed.
